NTR takes the biggest risk by signing War 2 as his Bollywood debut film after RRR and Devara. The film also stars Hrithik as another lead, and there were huge expectations for the film. However, War 2 Telugu Version opens with very low numbers at the box office.
YRF Spy Universe is not a big brand in Telugu audiences, and such stylish, action-oriented films without much story do not resonate with Telugu people, which is reflected in the movie’s openings.
War 2 Telugu Version Box Office: Low Openings For NTR
The worldwide gross of the Telugu version of War 2 is 38 Cr for day 1, which means the opening of the Telugu version of War 2 is a very low one for NTR-starring films. Normally the 30-40 range opening will be taken by Tier 2 or medium-budget films, such as HIT 3 and Kingdom.
For NTR starrer any film could have easily done more than 100 Cr opening in Telugu, as his last release, Devara, did that, but War 2 fails to resonate with Telugu audiences, and the film crossing the 100 Cr mark in closing itself looks very tough.
